Start Seeing Diversity

    You were my best friend,
a girl friend I met in college.
You climbed in my bed at night
          when you felt scared,
          when you felt home sick.
We slept in one bed liked my bio-sister who
and I used to use one bed.
We were paired walking in and out.
     We were paired chatting
          while walking for class picnic.

     Until one day,
          we were quested,
          "Are you gay?"
The confusing was in our eyes.
    We looked each other
because we had never heard the term,
            and did not understand.
The smiling faces were the answer.
          "Are you gay?"
"What do you think?" with the smiling face.
         "Are you gay?"
Our smiling faces were the answer.

The questions did not get us.
We were normal through the four years
         of roommates in the college.
     We are still friends
          and have other friends.
We went through dating our boys by dating season.
We went through marriage of our husbands by the marriage season.
We went through giving birth by the birth season,
      Everything went through normal.

      Sometime, ignorant is the best.
      Sometimes, ignorant is perfect.
Sometimes, ignorant is from a pure heart.
Sometimes, ignorant is from an honest heart.
