The site I am interesting in the most is the European Early Childhood Education Research Association (EECERA). The group is founded in late 1980's, original a forum from colleagues in Europe for supporting the quality research in early childhood education.
Currently, the association is influence in the whole European by owning one of the most prestigious early childhood journals, the Journal of EECERA. The current trustees have led a number of national and international large-scale research projects including the Effective Early Learning Programme; the Accounting Early for Life Long Learning Program; the training to early years' practitioners in more than 75 local authorities across the UK; the INCA, OECD Starting Strong and the Children Crossing Borders project; the program development in contexts of ethnic division, as a part of the "Joint Learning Initiative on Children and Ethnic Diversity; a network of action research in which pedagogues, students and academic researchers work together to gain insight into shared issues; a national project on the reconstruction of meaning and the development of quality in early childhood education.
My surprise is the EECERA not only influences in European but also in the world wide by its country coordinators.

Sara,
ReplyDeleteWe both choose the same link (EECERA), but we present very different insights that we have learned from it. Thank you for such detailed information on their concerns and topics discussed. Your post has enriched my understanding about EECERA.
Sara,
ReplyDeleteWhat was the focus of their journal? Based on the title of the research I am thinking that they were focused on the quality of early childhood programs. Was that the case? I am interested in checking out this website because it was not one that reviewed.
Thanks,
Jill
Hi Sara
ReplyDeleteWOW! You have done a very detailed study in EECERA. And thanks for listing down the country coordinators, and I am pleased to know the contacts in China. I think EECERA has done a fantastic job in the field of early childhood education.
