Part 1, Establishing Professional Contacts
Started on Jan. 4th, I sent out emails to individuals and
organizations in China,
Australia. IN
each email, I begin with self-introduce, then where I find them, how I know
them, the reason I contact them, and what help I need from them. I ended the
letter with my contact information and name. I have expected high probability
to get back from the one I contact in China.
I knew her. She has a Master degree from the early childhood education at
University of Missouri-St. Louis and now working for a learning center in Beijing.
I titled the email with her name. Other email I titled with organization's
name. So far, none has sent an email back to me. However I do see the one related the Australia has their newsletter link:

I am not luck. So I have to use the alternate assignment. I explored the links that provided in the resources and search on google. I did not know how to get connect with one professional from the links. Maybe, the request was not special, nor clear. I will continue try to connect the professionals list on my expanding resources according to the study topic or things. Hope one day before the end of course, I can connect one professional.

Hi Liping I some of the similar challenges but luckily I got feedback from South Africa. My contact person is Eric Atmore and he is my representative for the National Development Agency. I also made contact with UNICEF of Findland and I was fortunate to get links that will provide me with information on Finland. I did not stop until I got through.

Hello Sara
Thanks for your message. The resources on our website might be helpful for you: http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/nqsplp/. They cover a very wide range of topics. You might like to start by reading the case studies based on interviews with educators around Australia: http://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/nqsplp/resources/case-studies/
Best of luck!

Liping,
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad. I have yet to hear from my resources also. I sent 3 emails and I am still waiting. Don't give up. I think I will find some more alternatives if I don't hear anything by tomorrow. I may ask some of my immigrant co workers if they have friends or relatives that are educators in their homeland. Good Luck with getting correspondents.
