Farewell of EDUC 6162

The assignment for the first week was to establish a connection with the international early childhood professionals in order to broaden our support circle in the growing professionalism. I tried to email four international contacts in Australia, Hongkong, and Beijing. I got responses from two professionals; one was a professor from HongKong in the first week. She provided the link about the her and links to her official websites. I lost connection with her at the second week and I was not able to access the resources she provided.  Another international professional was a team from the Australian early childhood professionals. They provided me with links to their websites, which later acted as the podcasts. This resources broadened my understanding and insight of the objectives of the course. The resource enhanced the insight in the issue and trend of early childhood from another country's point of view. Also, I experienced exploring resources of other nations rather than the US. This is a great experience as I might explore other podcasts from Europe, Africa, or Asia. Also, I experienced that it is difficulty to establish contact with early childhood professionals on a person level. However, I knew the professional are very busy; they returned me with suggestions encouraged me to connect with other professionals whom I would have never met.
My colleague's' blogs provided the short and to-the-point information related to the subject of course. I do not have to explore all the resources because these blogs made up for the deficiency of exploring all the other websites."Thank-you" can not express my feeling of how much support i have had from all of you. I wish all of you the best in constructing professionalism. I wish we can contribute to making the best of the world we live.

  1. Hi Sara,

I also found it difficult to establish an international contact, however I have the insights that I have gained for classmates blogs such as your as twice as valuable. Thank You.

  2. I know that some of us had a hard time connecting with international educators. I am glad that you were able to make some connections. It was a pleasure to hear your perspectives on the issues and trends that we face in the field of early childhood education and I hope to work with you again.

  3. It was difficult reaching and keeping communication going with professionals overseas. I believe this to be one of the most difficult tasks of this course. If I did not have a colleague that I worked with, that had those experiences I would not have any connect as well. It was very enjoyable to hear your perspective on issues we have discussed.
